Model City Hall, along with the support of the City of Hamilton and HamOntYouth, hosted the second ever Hamilton Youth Town Hall on May 10th, 2025! This event was designed to foster meaningful dialogue between youth and their elected officials, while also supporting young people in building the skills and knowledge needed to continue being active participants in their communities. Building on past conversations with youth from the second HamOntYouth Summit, youth from all across Hamilton met at City Hall to discuss the following key topics in our community: 

 

1) Mental Health and Education

 

2) Housing and Affordability

 

3) Access to Employment and Training

 

4) Climate Change and the Environment

 

We also offered three Civic Education workshops, designed and led by youth, for youth:

 

1) Advocacy Skills 

 

2) Municipal Politics 101 

 

3) Developing Your Why
